Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient production processes by effectively coordinating and managing the scheduling of manufacturing activities. This position requires a strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and supply chain management to optimize workflow and meet customer demands.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with various departments, including manufacturing, procurement, and logistics, to ensure alignment of production plans with supply chain capabilities.
- Utilize SAP and other systems to track inventory levels, production progress, and resource allocation.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast needs, and vaticinate potential issues that may affect scheduling.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure timely availability of materials for production runs.
- Monitor performance metrics related to production schedules and make adjustments as necessary to meet targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and supply chain management practices.
- Familiarity machine shop scheduling
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
