Royal Oak Enterprises, LLC is a leading manufacturer and marketer of branded and private label charcoal, manufactured fire logs, fire building products, matches and toothpicks. In addition, the Company also manufactures railroad cross ties, which strengthens our relationship with our suppliers in the charcoal business. We offer a full suite of grilling products including charcoal briquettes, all-natural lump charcoal, fire starters, along with the Pine Mountain fire building brand, the Diamond brand, and the Specialty Wood Products brand.
Position Summary
The role is an entry level position designed to offer the ideal candidate a rewarding opportunity to begin a career in Supply Chain. The chosen candidate will be actively involved with many facets of the supply chain process, from purchase order or production to delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This position will report to the Senior Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase basic production supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Assist in creating purchase orders for Raw Materials/Purchased Finished Goods and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Track shipments and coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, manufacturing sites, and planning team.
- Create product receipts, work orders, transfer orders, BOLs, and manage invoices for purchased finished goods.
- Support the Supply Chain Planning & Procurement group by preparing and analyzing daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Partner with manufacturing, finance, and planning team to write off and dispose of Excess/Obsolete inventory.
- Assist in BOM creation, BOM updates/maintenance, and SKU transition process.
- Assist with new item setup and purchasing/production plans.
- Support the Supply Chain team in daily operations with ability to flex between priorities.
- Assist in Supply Chain processes related to special projects, such as RFID, label updates, bag updates etc.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Support the supply chain team across various daily operation needs.
- Develop working partnerships with all stakeholders internally and externally, including suppliers, customers, sales, marketing, logistics, finance, customer service, manufacturing, planning and procurement.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a supply chain or logistics intern role is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and ability to quickly learn other Supply Chain systems and ERP.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; ability to analyze data and generate reports.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
