Job Summary
Midtown Moving and Storage is seeking motivated and detail oriented independent moving contractors to join our fleet. Midtown Moving has been contracted out through the military to move service members (both on base and off base) to their new homes. Pick up "circuits" as you see fit, there is no minimum (or maximum) to how much you can work with us. Most circuits are ~7 days (although can be as short as 2 days) and can pay anywhere from $2000 to $8000/week depending on weight transported and distance traveled.
Responsibilities
- Run household goods moving jobs for multiple days at a time across the country.
- Hire out your own labor to assist with completion of jobs.
- Effectively use an app to take inventory, acquire customer signatures, and start and stop phases of the job.
- Communicate effectively with our office and customers.
Requirements
- Must own your own moving truck (box truck or tractor trailer).
- Must have experience leading household goods moves.
- Must have a phone that can download apps and have a data plan to communicate with office and customers.
- Must have a clean background (you will need to be able to get clearance onto military bases).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and able to complete tasks exactly as instructed.
