FedEx Ground utilizes privately owned, independent contractors to service its delivery and pick-up service. You will be employed by an independent contractor and supplied with a truck and everything you need to deliver and pick up customer's packages in a designated area.
Looking for experienced, dependable drivers committed to safety and customer service.
Job Type is a permanent full-time position.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have minimum 1-year verifiable commercial driving experience in last 3 years. (CDL license NOT required)
- Clean driving record for the previous 3 years.
- Pass Background Screening (No DUI’s or Felonies)
- Pass Drug Screen & DOT Physical
- E-Verify
Applicants MUST MEET the above requirements to be considered for the position.
Daily Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain appropriate communication with operating officer
- Accurately operate handheld scanner
- Operate truck safely at all times
Compensation:
- Salary of $800-$900 a week
- Paid on the job training
- 2-weeks paid vacation earned after one year of service
