Job Description
Client is a growing biopharma company with several Phase 3 clinical trials globally. They are looking for a VP of Supply Chain to lead commercialization and global packaging development. The ideal candidate is hands-on and experienced in launching biologics, serialization, and working with vendors internationally. This role oversees a team of four and collaborates with quality and audit leads. Candidate should have strong commercial supply chain experience in a biotech environment and be comfortable operating in a high-ambiguity, small company setting.
Responsibilities
- Vendor interaction, system selection, and supporting the commercial buildout of the supply chain function.
- Client is supporting 7 global clinical trials (3 in Phase 3)
- The new VP will oversee the director, two other roles, and a consultant (team of 4 total)
- Role is very hands-on, working directly with other groups (supporting audits, QMS, remediation)
- Candidate should have experience launching and commercializing biologics
- Focus areas include serialization, commercial forecasting, packaging development
- Expectation to identify the systems to be implemented
- Strong preference for candidates who have previously worked in smaller biopharma companies and can handle ambiguity
- Some logistics work and vendor management included
- Must be familiar with international requirements (e.g., current challenges with Israel)
- Limited travel expected (10% or less)
- Strong communicator with the ability to identify key supply chain questions upfront
- Startup commercialization experience is essential, as the company is building out its commercial supply chain from the ground up.
