Essential Responsibilites
- Supplier/Vendor Management
- Leads the strategic non-controlled sourcing plans and objectives (short & long term) based on forecasts of future demand; must consider economic and sourcing trends and conditions that affect supply chain management
- Leads and conducts negotiations with potential and/or current suppliers to obtain optimal programs
- Responsible to track and communicate vendor purchase agreement goals and to work with sales to maximize volume rebates and gross margins
- Responsible for the procurement/purchase process, which includes item setup and management
- Collaborates directly with Tireco Brands division
- Manages controlled brand inventory to facilitate wholesale sale objectives
- Optimize product screens
- Develop additional product line opportunities
- Leads the development and communication of supply intelligence
- Costing analysis, realization rates, inventory aging
- Inventory cost management
- Leads the Wholesale Division Supply and Inventory Planning process, including:
- Weekly/monthly collaboration meetings with sales and operations to align demand and ensure successful execution of various programs
- Drive continuous improvement in our forecasting/demand planning process(es)
- Manage demand solutions and ERP systems optimization
- Use historical data, current trends, input from business partners and the best statistical forecasting methods to create a quality forecast
- Measure and report on forecasting accuracy
- Manage and lead a team that is developing and executing the forecasts
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to various departments and senior management for business decision making
- Maintain high level of collaboration with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams
- Oversight and development of supply team staff
Required Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressively responsible, successful experience in warehouse/distribution procurement and supply chain/ logistics management with full P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices and good business analysis/project management skills
- Strong business planning skills to execute strategic projects with implications for business areas with rapidly evolving business processes
- Must possess a balanced perspective on strategic and tactical issues and be a natural collaborator
- Proven ability to select top talent and create a productive environment that promotes empowerment and a strong learning and development environment
- Strong communication and listening skills
