Job Title: Drayage Dispatcher

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Job Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced Drayage Dispatcher to join our team in Kearny, NJ. In this role, you’ll coordinate the pickup and delivery of ocean containers from NY/NJ ports. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dispatching drayage trucks, understands port operations, and can thrive in a time-sensitive logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatch drivers to and from NY/NJ ports
- Track trucks and containers using GPS and transportation management systems
- Optimize delivery schedules and routes for maximum efficiency
- Maintain constant communication with drivers, terminals, and customers
- Accurately complete data entry tasks
· Provide outstanding customer service and maintain professional phone etiquette
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience dispatching trucks for drayage at NY/NJ ports
- Proficient with transportation management systems and GPS tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with fleet management
