International Motor Freight is looking for an experienced dispatcher.
We are a well-established asset-based container drayage carrier located in Port Newark, NJ. The person we are looking for must be reliable, conscientious and able to follow direction. Knowledge of import / export trucking and the NY/NJ piers is required. Candidate must have PRIOR INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE.
Duties include:
Interacting with customer service / dispatch teams to execute daily delivery plans.
Coordinating the pick-up, delivery, and return of containers with company drivers.
Setting up pick up and return appointments with piers.
Tracking and tracing equipment to minimize demurrage and per diem costs.
Turning empty containers for export through Avantida platform.
Dealing with mechanical breakdowns / equipment issues and coordinating road service when required.
Entering key event information into computer database.
Closing the daily dispatch activity.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
