Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator’s primary function is to assist in developing and managing the in-house operations and brokerage at Translogistics Inc. The position includes building carrier relationships, finding daily capacity through technology such as carrier portals, personal relationships, and load boards, pricing shipments competitively in the marketplace to secure client orders, and monitoring loads from inception until delivery. It also includes establishing and maintaining professional relationships with assigned clients on behalf of Translogistics by taking complete responsibility and ownership for each client contact. The employee must have competence in the transportation industry, marketplace, and general logistics operations. The position requires excellent understanding of the transportation/trucking industry along with a high level of technology skills as well as tact, sensitivity, professionalism and enthusiasm to work in a fast pace work environment.
Essential Job Functions:
· This position will primarily be responsible for the company financial decisions relating to their assigned accounts, profit and loss responsibility, sales, revenue and relationship development, and account growth within a geographical area
· Schedule and execute an array of transportation services in accordance with legal and client requirements including cargo characteristics, service options, available least cost rates, transit time, and loading and offloading requirements
· Provide exceptional client service and interaction including issue resolution, communication, intermediary functions, logistics representation, and shipment responsibility management
· Support assigned accounts not only during regular business hours but as their needs develop and require attention
· Reliably track and expedite progress of specialized shipments and perform additional activities required to meet clients’ deadlines and expectations
· Build relationships with clients to ensure continued operational improvements
· Provide accurate and timely price quotes to clients, as requested, determining the company’s margin and profitability
· Pre-screen contract carriers from incoming applicant database for contract eligibility based upon DOT standards and company policy
· Continuously develop contract carrier base operation to meet productivity demands
· Find qualified carriers and pursue costs for best routing and pricing for client quotes
· Assist team members with the daily management of shared operational inboxes
· Track all managed and booked shipments, alerting clients of all transit updates
· Manage incoming client telephone calls professionally, efficiently, and with excellent communication skills within various call queues as well as client direct
· Process client orders accurately and timely

The employee is also expected to perform such other duties and functions as required from time to time.

Physical Requirements:
· Mental abilities are required to compute business math formulas
· Ability to sit 98% of the time in an office environment
· Walking is required within the office area
· Ability to type on a computer for data entry for extended periods of time
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required
· Experience in transportation, supply chain management, or logistics highly preferred
· Excellent written and oral command of the English language
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Strong attention to detail
· High level of ability to multi-task and juggle several projects
· Attentive in preventing errors and solving complex problems
· High level of computer literacy, including TMS Technology Systems

Machines/Tools/Equipment:
Computer, basic office equipment (copier, calculator, fax, etc.)
Working Conditions:
· The majority of the time (98%) will be spent in an office environment, with no noise and with a controlled temperature
· Other time could be spent in an automobile while visiting clients and carriers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.07 - $27.88 per hour
