Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our material planning, inventory control, procurement, and warehousing operations. This role demands a strong commitment to continuous improvement, system enhancement, and a proactive approach to challenging the status quo. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, experienced in lean methodologies, and passionate about developing both people and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement processes to ensure Just-In-Time (JIT) material availability, meeting production needs with minimal stock levels while optimizing costs.
Address and resolve material planning issues promptly, ensuring root causes are identified and eliminated.
Create and execute flexible supply chain processes to enhance material supply risk visibility, update safety stock levels, improve business efficiency, and drive process improvements.
Maintain and enhance supplier performance metrics, focusing on quality, on-time delivery, lead times, and cost.
Formulate and implement supply chain strategies to minimize inventory and lead times.
Achieve annual material cost reductions through supplier negotiations and transitioning to cost-effective vendors.
Implement lean tools such as daily Gemba management, Standard Work, Kaizen, problem-solving, Heijunka, and Poka-yoke.
Ensure compliance with all purchasing processes, purchase orders, and contracts, adhering to internal and external requirements.
Oversee the sale and disposal of surplus equipment and inventory.
Manage compliance with Small Business, ITAR, and government requirements within the supply base.
Lead the planning function, coordinating all material and capacity planning activities to meet product forecasts, new product introductions, and aftermarket sales.
Oversee warehouse and inventory management, ensuring the accuracy of Work-In-Progress (WIP), finished goods, and raw materials through effective cycle count strategies.
Collaborate with other Operations Leaders to deliver exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
Over 7 years of experience managing complex supply chain operations, preferably in a low volume/high-mix environment.
More than 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Enthusiastic and proactive with a strong leadership presence.
Proven experience in people management and development.
CPM/CPPM certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Preferred experience with Six Sigma/Black Belt-Green Belt and Kaizen methodologies.
Familiarity with lean concepts and tools such as VSM, JIT, Kanban, Daily Management, Heijunka, and Kaizen.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
A team player with a passion for customer focus, a sense of urgency in conflict resolution, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $120,000.00 to $175,000.00 per year
