Warehouse Operations & IT Coordinator

General Job Description:

Supports all functions in the warehouse (shipping, receiving, packaging, creating BOL's, Tracking shipments, Logistics data entry, Rug Inspections and photography) and showroom as needed for those operations.

Accountable Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production, quality control and other tasks.
Shipping tasks include packaging of and shipment of rugs via commercial carriers. Rugs are placed on commercial carrier trucks by hand and lift as is appropriate.
Receiving tasks include unloading rugs from truck shipments manually and by fork lift as is appropriate.
Production tasks include material handling, inspecting the product , photographing the rugs, creating pdf-inspections for rugs and strike-offs, packing rugs which includes cutting pads and pvc pipes for the rugs which are then packed in protective materials, and finally preparing Bills of Lading for the goods for shipment by commercial carriers.
Other tasks include warehouse cleaning and maintenance, rug installations, support of show room sales staff showing rugs and other special projects.
Coordination of computer support with IT Vendor, setting up computer stations, re-setting the server when needed, managing server security and user groups.

Job requirements:

Good physical condition, must be able to handle rugs for packing and shipping (dolly’s and forklift available to assist)
High School Diploma or college
Proficient in PC setup, phone systems, Outlook, Excel, Word
Highly proficient in the English Language both verbally and written

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
